That takes input data of any size and generates a fixed-size output, called a hash. In blockchain, each block contains a unique hash. Which is generated by combining the data of the block, including the previous block’s hash. Any alteration in the data of a block will result in a change in the hash. Which make it easy to detect and reject any invalid blocks.

Decentralization

Finally, the decentralized nature of the blockchain network ensures that there is no central point of failure. Thus making it highly resistant to hacking or cyber-attacks. Since the blockchain data is distributed across multiple nodes. Any attempt to alter the data would require a consensus of the majority of nodes, making it virtually impossible.
